NORTH ATTLEBORO – Louis E. Gagnon, 83, a lifelong resident of North Attleboro passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018 at home. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Rose) Gagnon who died in 2013.
Born December 19, 1934 in North Attleboro, he was the son of the late Louis and Ernestine (Gagnon) Gagnon.
Louis attended Coyle Cassidy High School in Taunton before graduating from North Attleboro High School.
He worked for over thirty years at Schindler Elevator company before retiring 15 years ago. He previously worked at various elevator companies and when he was younger worked at Chabot’s Gas Station.
Louis was a longtime communicant of St. Mary’s Church where he served as a collector for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He particularly enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Silva and husband Chris of Cumberland, RI; his son, Timothy Gagnon and wife Debbie of Attleboro; four grandchildren: Rachel, Kevin, Kaleigh, Brianna and husband Bryan along with great-granddaughter Harper;
His sister, Theresa Greco of North Attleboro; and his nieces and nephews: Lynn Soucey and husband Dave and their three children of North Attleboro, Debbie Mercier and husband Scott and their daughter of Attleboro, Jackie and Jeffrey Hillman and their two daughters of Attleboro; and Gary and Hanna Greco and their two children of New Jersey.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 29 from 9-10:45 a.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral Mass will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
