Dorothy F. St. Germain 02/05/2018

NORTH ATTLEBORO – Dorothy F. St. Germain, 89, of North Attleboro passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital surrounded by her devoted family.  She was the beloved wife of William St. Germain for 61 years before his death in 2011.

Born August 2, 1928 in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Szarek) Komla.

Dorothy lived in Easthampton and was a graduate of Easthampton High School.  After marrying Bill, they moved to North Attleboro in 1950.

She was primarily a homemaker, raising her two daughters and worked bookkeeping for her husband’s local tractor trailer business.

She loved playing cards and jigsaw puzzles.  She loved being outside and was an avid gardener and loved walking the beach and ski trips up north.  In her later years she loved going to the casinos.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Gail Ottaviani and husband William of Mansfield and DonnaLee St. Germain of Attleboro;

A granddaughter Laura Beth Clark and husband Alex of Cumberland, RI; a great-granddaughter Nora Clark; a brother Stanley Komla of Agawam and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late Phyllis and Joseph Komla.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 10 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation at 11 a.m.  Burial to follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Attleboro.

In lieu of flowers donations in Dorothy’s name may be made to either the Visiting Nurses Agency, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703 or the American Heart Association, PO BOX 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
