NORTH ATTLEBORO – Cameron A. Forbes, 103, of Towne Street passed away Monday, September 11, 2017 at home surrounded by his devoted family.  He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Berard) Forbes.

Born February 5, 1914 in Pawtucket, RI, he was a son of the late William and Anna (King) Forbes.

Cameron was a longtime resident of North Attleboro.  He worked as a jewelry maker at Cheever and Tweedy for 33 years before retiring at age 69.  He also worked at several other local jewelry manufacturers throughout his career.

Cameron enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod and fishing with his grandkids on Falls Pond.  He was a loving father and great role to his family and all who knew him.  He also coached his kids Little League teams and basketball teams.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and their spouses: Scott Forbes and wife Jean of Attleboro, Greg Forbes and wife Judy of West Yarmouth and Grant Forbes and wife Linda of North Attleboro;

8 grandchildren: Jeff, Jill, Chad, Michelle, Mitch, Kevin, Kely and Lorie;

13 great-grandchildren: Brittany, Zach, Madison, Haley, Amanda, Samuel, Olivia, Sean, Quinn, Terrence, Carly, Shauna and Mark;

And a great-great-grandson, Killian.

He was brother of the late Marion Armstrong, Rita Clairmont, Harriett Lange, Norma Brown, Barbara Byron, and Harold, Ross, Richard, Robert and William Forbes.

Services will be held privately at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.  Private burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Hospice of CVNA, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703, the CVNA at same address or Home Instead, 555 Pleasant Street #104, Attleboro, MA 02703.
