Arnold L. Brederson, 88, on April 17, 2024

Arnold L. Brederson, 88, a lifelong resident of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, with his beloved wife, Cheryl E. (Cate) Brederson, by his side at Orchard View Manor in Riverside, RI. Born on November 7, 1935, in Rumford, RI, he was a loving son of the late Charles “Chick” Brederson and Alice (Bergman) Brederson.

Arnie grew up in North Attleboro and attended North Attleboro Schools, but left school at a young age to work. He built a garage to work on cars, which would later become the house he lived in. Arnie was a dedicated dog breeder and trainer, spending many years training dogs for various dog tracks, including the Taunton Dog Track and tracks in Florida. He had a special bond with his horse, “Zip,” whom he loved to ride when he was young. In his youth, he was also an avid runner, often joining his father and brothers for runs.

He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

A true outdoorsman, Arnie had a deep appreciation for nature and a special place in his heart for animals. He cherished his wife, Cheryl, of over forty years more than anything.

In addition to his beloved Cheryl, Arnie is survived by his stepson Stephen Baker and his wife Christine, his grandson Ryan Baker and his fiancée Hannah, his granddaughter Mackenzie Baker, his great-granddaughter Charlotte Grace, his sister Helen Goulet, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings: Charles, Edward, Harold, and Carol.

Funeral arrangements are pending. Interment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
