Attleboro – Louis McCluskey, Jr., 87, of Thacher St, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of Virginia (Driscoll) McCluskey to whom he was married to for 63 years.
Born, January 15, 1931, he was the son of the late Louis and Doris (Bassett) McCluskey.
Louis was a resident of Attleboro his entire life. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was deployed for 3 years in active combat. He was employed in the textile industry and for General Motors over the years.
Louis loved hobby trains, dogs, but he especially loved spending time with his family. He never missed his grandchildren’s sporting games. Christmas was a special time for Louis. He took great pride in buying personalized presents for the family.
In addition to his wife, Virginia, he is survived by his children: Dennis McCluskey and his wife Linda of North Attleboro; Brian McCluskey and his companion Mary Matthews of Plymouth; Gary McCluskey and his wife Suzanne of Warwick, RI, his beloved grandchildren: Scott McCluskey and his wife Meghan of North Attleboro; Tim McCluskey and his wife Natasha of Warwick, RI; Kaitlin Hogan and her husband Jake of Westbrook, ME; his great-granddaughters: Quinn, Whitney, Abby, Maddie and Baby Hogan; his brother: Howard McCluskey of Attleboro.
Louis was predeceased by his siblings: Barbara Labrie, Willard McCluskey, and Betty McCluskey
