PLAINVILLE – Daniel Scott Walsh, 59, of Spring Street in Plainville passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at home.
Born September 25, 1958 in Boston, he was a son of the late Donald B. and Patricia (Wallace) Walsh.
Daniel grew up in Boston and was a 1977 graduate of Hyde Park High School. He lived in the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston most of his life before moving to Plainville two years ago.
He has worked in customer service at the M.B.T.A. for the past 28 years.
Dan enjoyed reading and filling his notebooks with stories and inventions he came up with. He would do anything, even at his own expense, to cheer someone up and make them laugh. He loved wood burning, painting and building Lincoln Logs with his grandson on Friday nights. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Walsh, Jr. and his girlfriend Lisa of Plymouth; his daughter, Patricia Walsh of Plainville; his beloved grandson, Reid Lopes; his former wife, Diane Walsh of North Attleboro; four siblings: Linda Smith, Donald Walsh, Jr., Scott Walsh and Patrick Walsh and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 8 from 5-9 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 9 at 10 a.m. followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
