ATTLEBORO – Camille Joseph Routhier, 93, of Attleboro passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at home surrounded by his devoted family. He was the loving husband of Yolande (Chamberland) Routier who died in 2001.
Born October 5, 1924 in St. Edwidge, Quebec, Canada, he was a son of the late Willie and Marie Rose (Tetrault) Routhier.
Camille grew up in Canada and moved to North Troy, Vermont to work on the Chamberland Brothers Farm, where he met his wife, before becoming a United States citizen in 1951.
He worked at Bergh Brothers Manufacturing in Attleboro Falls and High Meadow Farms in Plainville for many years before retiring in 1994.
Camille was an avid sports fan of the local teams, particularly the Patriots and Red Sox. He enjoyed spending many hours outdoors landscaping the family home with his faithful dogs, Silver and Skyy. When indoors he would never be seen without a word search puzzle book.
He is survived by his children: Mark Routhier of Attleboro and Rachael Routhier and her wife Susan Clegg of Attleboro; a sister: Aline L’etoile of St. Francis Xavier, Brompton, Quebec; and two granddaughters: Lily and Emma Routhier.
