NORTH ATTLEBORO – L. Michael Campbell, 66, of Florida, formerly of North Attleboro passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Walter Randall VA Hospital in Florida.
Born August 26, 1952 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Leon J. and Jean (Hargreaves) Campbell.
Mike was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro before moving to Florida six years ago. He was a graduate of Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro.
Mike worked as an auto mechanic. He worked for the North Attleboro Department of Public Works and Colonial Tire in Plainville before retiring from Advanced Auto Parts several years ago.
He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Mike loved motorcycles. He regularly attended Bike Week in Laconia, New Hampshire and also took trips across New England and frequently to Cape Cod. If the temperature was above 40 degrees, he’d be on his bike.
He is survived by his sons: Timothy (Kellyn Campbell) Campbell of Providence, RI and Jason Campbell (Kate Hamel) of North Attleboro. His Step-children Crystal Blackmore of Merrill, IA. Christopher Stott and Cory Stott of Calais, ME.
He was grandfather of Skylar Gallagher, Kameron Gallagher, the late Savanna Campbell, Cherokee Rose Campbell, Wade Hamel, Andora Hamel, Jason Beckhaus and Mikayla Jade Campbell.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 29 from 2-4 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral service with Military Honors will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation at 4 p.m.
