LENOX – Dolores A. “Dee” Leedham, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday October 6, 2017 at Kimball Farms Nursing Home in Lenox, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas R. Leedham, Esq., who was the former Attleboro city solicitor.
Born on November 10, 1928 in Pawtucket, RI., she was the loving daughter of the late Raymond and Alice (Bateman) Quinn.
Dolores resided in South Attleboro throughout her adult life until recent health issues necessitated a move closer to her daughter in Lenox, MA.
Dee was a Johnson and Wales Business school graduate and former legal secretary in her husband’s law office as well as Principal Clerk for the Attleboro Department of Public Works.
Dolores will be remembered for her generous spirit and sense of humor. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved music (particularly opera), dancing, Attleboro “YMCA Lifers’’ membership, playing cards, traveling, beach vacations, golfing, holiday celebrations and spending time with family and friends.
Dolores was truly the heart and hearth of the family. She provided unconditional love and support to all those around her. Although sorely missed, her spirit and inspiration will live on in future generations which include: Alice Vardner and her husband James, and Julia Leedham Rindfuss and her husband Michael. Her cherished grandchildren Mary and Jonathan Vardner and Thomas and Patrick Rindfuss.
Besides her husband she was also predeceased by her son Christopher Leedham, her daughter Beth Leedham and her brother Dr. Byron Quinn.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 16, 2017 from 6-8pm in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home 15 Grove St. North Attleboro, MA. A funeral will be held on Tuesday October 17, 2017 from Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home at 9am with a Mass of Christian burial starting at 10am in St. Theresa’s Church 18 Baltic St. Attleboro, MA. A burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery located on West St. Attleboro, MA.
