ATTLEBORO - Linda May (Hopkins) Bickford, 71 of South Attleboro passed away peacefully at home September 22nd with her family at her side. She was the beloved wife of Clarence (Joe) Bickford to whom she was married after a long relationship on June 13, 2005.
Linda was born in Brockton, MA on May 16th, 1947 to the late Irvin and Eunice(Townes) Hopkins. She worked at Ocean Fresh Seafood as a receptionist until their closing and at Dean College in Franklin as accounts payable specialist until her retirement.
As well as her husband she is survived by her six children: James Megna and his wife Susan of Broomfield, CO , Kelly Osborne and her husband Kevin of Woonsocket, RI, Tony Megna and his wife Anne of Wrentham, ,Rick Megna and his wife Dawn of North Attleboro, Jancee Megna of Portland, OR, Mary Blasé and her husband Christopher of Kingston, Ma, her sister Nancy (Hopkins) Plante of North Attleboro, her brother Robert Hopkins of Wrentham, MA, her two stepdaughters Janice Kingsbury and her husband Jason of Agoura Hills, CA and Christina Bickford of Woodstock, CT.She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her sister Janet (Hopkins) Packer of Wareham, Ma.
Linda loved camping and anything outdoors, especially long motorcycle trips with her husband throughout the south and the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains as well as our road trips to Colorado. She also loved time with her two dogs Casper & Izzie.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, September 26 from 5-8 p.m. at the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
