NORTH ATTLEBORO – Francis C. Ouellette, 87, of Circular Street passed away early Saturday morning, August 11, 2018 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of Jeannette (Briggs) Ouellette for 40 years before her death in 1996.
Born May 9, 1931 at home in North Attleboro, he was a son of the late Ernest and Lucinda (Ringuette) Ouellette.
Frank was a lifelong resident of North Attleboro and a 1947 graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary School.
He worked at various local companies including doing work as a printer at Texas Instruments, salesman at Reed’s Appliances. He briefly owned a grocery store on Eddy Street and also worked as a realtor for several years before retiring as a driver for special needs children.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a longtime member and past grandmaster of the North Attleboro Grange. Frank loved gardening, animals, and fishing and was an avid train enthusiast.
He is survived by two sons: James and wife Lynn E. Ouellette of North Attleboro and Jason and wife Maura Ouellette of Thomaston, CT; seven grandchildren: John Ouellette and Elizabeth Brou, Justin and Jessica Ouellette and Molly, James and Michael Cipriano; and seven great-grandchildren: Nathan, Jake, Josh, Joshua, Amelia, Jeannette, and Maddelena.
He was the brother of the late Edna Fisher, Alice Suprenant, Anita Peao, Bertha Slowey, Lillian Driscoll and Edmond, Ovila, and Albert Ouellette.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 16 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral Mass will be held following visitation at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 58 Church Street, North Attleboro. Burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
