NORTH ATTLEBORO – Grace M. Gaskin, 78, of North Attleboro passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of William Gaskin for 53 years until his death in 2015.
Born November 15, 1939 in South Boston, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Ponzo) Lynch.
Grace grew up in California and moved to Massachusetts after her freshman year of high school. She graduated from Norton High School in 1958 and has been a resident of North Attleboro since 1962.
She worked at Crosby Valve in Wrentham for over 30 years as a project administrator before retiring.
She is survived by five children: Kathleen Gaskin of North Attleboro, William J. Gaskin and wife Teri of North Attleboro, Tammy DiChiara and husband Steven of Virginia, Donald Gaskin and wife Jamie of North Carolina and Shawn Gaskin and wife Christina of North Attleboro;
10 grandchildren: Nicholas, Alex, Taylor, Caitlin, Danny, Alexis, Samantha, Haley, Jessica and Jake;
Two sisters: Dorothy Terassi and AnneMarie Busby; her step-sister Paula Stanton and her sister-in-law Judy McCarron.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro.
A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, July 20 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1 St. Johns Place, Attleboro, MA 02703. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
