ATTLEBORO – Catherine V. “Cathy” Duro, 76, of Attleboro passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Andrew Duro for over 57 years.
Born January 19, 1942 in Brookline, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (McDonald) Donahue.
Cathy grew up in Brookline and was a 1960 graduate of Brookline High School. She was a resident of Dorchester for 47 years before moving to Attleboro in 2001.
She worked as a paraprofessional in the City of Boston school system where she taught special needs students before retiring in 1999.
Cathy loved bingo, completing puzzles and was active at the Attleboro Senior Center.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons: Paul Duro of Attleboro and Mark Duro (Laurie Sullivan) of Beaverton, OR;
A sister, Maureen Ford of Attleboro; a grandson Andrew Duro and many nieces and nephews.
She was grandmother of the late Kayde Duro and sister of the late Thomas Donahue and Sheila Vancott.
Visiting hour will be held on Monday, JULY 9 from 4-6 p.m. at the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at the conclusion of visitation at 6 p.m.
