ATTLEBORO – Leo A. Rock, 75, of North Avenue passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro.
Born December 27, 1942 in Central Falls, RI, he was a son of the late Charles F. and Phyllis (Stauff) Rock.
Leo was a lifelong resident of Attleboro and a graduate of Attleboro High School.
Leo loved the beach, especially Bristol State Park and Colts State Park. An avid racing fan, Leo spent lots of Saturday evenings at Seekonk Speedway and enjoyed watching NASCAR races on television.
Leo was one of the favorite ‘bachelor uncles’, first to his nieces and nephews and then to his great nieces and nephews. Leo always picked out presents they loved without any advice from parents or the kids. He was a delight in their lives and they in his.
He is survived by four brothers; Norman J. Rock of Attleboro, George E. Rock and wife O’Bryan of Attleboro, Thomas Rock and wife Denise of Attleboro and John Rock and wife Robin of North Stonington, CT;
Three nieces: Karen Crawford of Hopedale, Sarah Rock LaMore of Watertown, NY and Railene Rock of Attleboro;
Four nephews: Thomas Rock of Pawtucket, RI, Christopher Rock of Methuen, Jack Rock of Attleboro and Evan Rock of Norwich, CT;
And his sister-in-law MaryAnn Rock.
Leo was devoted to many aunts, uncles and cousins and well as great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Charles Rock.
He was a faithful member and good steward of Immanuel Lutheran Church where services will be held. An informal visitation will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 647 North Main Street, Attleboro on Tuesday, May 1 from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 o’clock.
