EAST PROVIDENCE – Tracey Beth Goode Peoples, 60, passed away suddenly in her home on March 11, 2017 in East Providence, RI.
She was born in Providence, RI on March 21, 1956 the loving daughter of Evelyn (Goode) Peoples, Oliver Miranda and her father the late Edward Peoples.
Tracey was an extremely loving person who dedicated her life to serving and providing for her family and community. She was committed to the community and was known to volunteer at countless churches, food banks and community centers. She also loved and devoted her life to fostering children for nearly three decades.
If you had the privilege to know Tracey you knew that she loved you, she fed you and she prayed for you. She was a Christian woman of incredible faith and she trusted the lord and knew the lord trusted her. Aunty Tracey or “Ma” as she was affectionately called, blessed the world through her extremely big heart, her generosity, her hugs, her words of wisdom, sense of humor, her fashion, her singing, her dancing, her music and especially her famous “rice and beans”
Tracey is survived by her devoted children: Felicia Shaw, Passion Peoples, Latesha Peoples and Mario Peoples. Precious grandchildren: CJ, Isiaha, Lela and Precious Whitener. Siblings: Grant Peoples and wife Diane, Stephen Peoples and wife Okasey, Troy Peoples, Edward Peoples, Lydia Peoples, Eleanor Peoples and husband Ronald. She also leaves behind countless adopted children, nieces, nephews, sisters, brothers and friends
She was also predeceased by her brother Michael Peoples and her sister Stephanie Peoples Kuku.
Tracey Beth Goode Peoples may have only been with us for a brief time but she leaves a legacy of love for everyone, strength for those who were weak, happiness for anyone feeling low and great faith in Gods unconditional love….
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 from 9:30-11am in the Providence Assembly of God, 353 Elmwood Ave. Providence, RI with a service from 11-1pm. A burial will immediately follow at the North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Ave., Providence, RI. A repass will be held on March 21, 2017 from 3-7pm in the Cape Verdean Club, 329 Grovsvenor Ave, East Providence, RI.
