SOUTH ATTLEBORO – Vincen Ajamian, 89, of Sunshine Drive passed away on Wednesday November 23, 2016 at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.
Born in Istanbul, Turkey on May 16, 1927. He was the son of the late George and Aneta Ajamian.
Ajamian grew up in Turkey and emigrated to RI in 1965. He resided in Pawtucket, RI before moving to South Attleboro in 1990.
He retired from Royal Electric in Pawtucket, RI where he worked for 18 years but for most of his life he was a pipe fitter.
Ajamian actively worked at the Plainville Senior Center and the Attleboro Senior Center. He donated his time to Meals on Wheels for several years. He was also very involved in helping to set up a men’s bible study and worked in a nursing home ministry at Assembly of God Church in South Attleboro. He played weekly Cribbage games and enjoyed fishing.
Ajamian is survived by his 2 step children: Anna Chaisty of South Attleboro and George Dias of North Attleboro; 3 Cherished grandchildren: Eric Childs, Scott Chaisty and Christian Dias; 1 Treasured great-grandchild: Amilia Rose and many cousins.
He was also predeceased by his sister Justine.
A memorial service will be held on Friday December 2, 2016 at 6pm in the Assembly of God Church 1052 Newport Ave. South Attleboro, MA. A collation will immediately follow in the church. Burial will be private at a later date.
