MARSHFIELD - Shirley J. Dunham, 82, of Marshfield passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at South Shore Hospital after a brief illness.
Shirley was born August 22, 1934 in Pawtucket, RI and was a daughter of the late Rita M. (Donnelly) Dunham.
Shirley was a longtime resident of North Attleboro and graduated from North Attleboro High School, Class of 1951. She was employed for many years at Automatic Machine Products in Attleboro, MA. Upon retirement, she moved to Cottonwood, AZ, returning for summers on the Cape. In recent years, she moved to Marshfield.
Shirley is survived by her twin sister, Nancy A. Dunham of Ocean Bluffs, MA; cousins Patricia Donnelly of Hyannis, Mary Ellen Shea of Needham, Kathy Graveline of Sandwich, and Susan Traversi of Attleboro MA. To her many young cousins and godchildren, she was a beautiful and loving woman, who will be sorely missed. She had many interests, especially love of nature and animals.
Shirley's family would like to thank the Staff of South Shore Hospital, the wonderful staff at Old Colony Elder Services, especially Laura Perkins, and her many friends who helped her so much.
Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, November 22 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. Burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
