Guido Viscusi 08/4/2016

NORTH ATTLEBORO - Guido Viscusi, 85, of North Attleboro died suddenly after a brief illness on August 4, 2016. He was predeceased by his wife, Italia of 62 years last December.

Guido was born in Sant’ Agata de” Goti, a small town in the Campania region of Italy.  He was the son of Francesco Viscusi and Antonette (Trucchio) Viscusi. 

Guido emigrated to this country at the age of 19.  He was a jewelry polisher for many years before his retirement 20 years ago. 

He enjoyed soccer, Italian music and the love of his family.  He also loved spending time outdoors and growing fruits and vegetables in his yard. 

Guido is survived by his daughter, Joanne Fry, her husband Jonathan Fry and her son Jonathan Fry, Jr. He is also survived by his son Robert Viscusi, his companion Donna Dalessio and his daughter Alexandra Viscusi. 

He also leaves behind a brother, Sabatino Viscusi of No. Attleboro, his wife Dina, two sisters, Christina DellaRatta of North Attleboro and Clelia Viscusi of Campania, Italy and many nieces and nephews.   

Calling hours are Sunday, August 14th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro. A funeral will be held on Monday, August 15th at 10:00 at St. Mary’s Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.

Dad - a while ago, you asked me what I would say about you when you were gone. I told you that I thought you were a very generous man. You liked that.

Thanks dad for all that you did for me & Robert. I know you worked hard to give us the best of everything

Thank you for making me the woman that I am today.

I know that you wanted to be with Mom and were lonely, and you are happy to be reunited. That was all you talked about.

Please watch over us. I miss you so much - I know that you are in a better place.

My condolences to the family....I have known Guido since he came to the USA....He was always fun to be around and have many fond memories of him during that time.....so sorry for your loss but he alive in so many of our memories and brings us a smile when thinking of him....RIP
