PLAINVILLE – John J. Buja Jr., 75, of Grove St., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. He was a wonderful husband to Carol (Lightfoot) Buja.
He was born on February 25, 1941 in Charlton, MA son to the late John and Charlette (Manning) Buja.
John lived in Providence, RI for over 17 years and attended Hope High School. While living in Rhode Island he was drafted into the United States Army from 1963 until 1965. After an honorable discharge from the Army he moved to Plainville and resided there for 44 years. He went on to work as a machinist for the Foxboro Company and continued working there for 37 years.
John enjoyed fishing and working in the garden. He loved to smoke ribs and cook soup to give to his family and friends, he especially loved his animals.
Besides his wife Carol, he leaves behind his cherished son Brian Buja of Plainville.
He was brother to the late Gwendolyn Buja.
Burial will be private at a later date.
