ATTLEBORO- Marguerite “Maggie” Y. (Bourgeois) Bleau, 92, of Christopher Heights, 45 South Main Street passed away, gently surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro. She was the wife of the late Albert A. Bleau to whom she was married to for 68 years until his death in 2015.
Born January 26, 1925 in North Attleboro, she was the daughter of the late Aurele and Eugenie (Gallant) Bourgeois.
Maggie attended Sacred Heart School in North Attleboro and made North Attleboro her home until moving to Attleboro 2 years ago.
She was employed by Homer Alden in North Attleboro for many years until her retirement in 1987.
She was a member of the Edgewood Church of Christ in Mansfield, MA.
Maggie’s life was devoted to her Faith, Family, and Friends. Her special loves outside of the home were music, flowers, painting, sitting by the water, enjoying the outdoors, and Sunday drives. She had a tender spot for children and pets. Her giving spirit and generous heart along with her constant laughter were larger than her small stature which made her so special and loved. She will be missed by all.
Marguerite is survived by her children: Fred Bleu of Marstons Mills, MA; Eileen Galligan and her husband John of Attleboro, MA; Ed Bleu and his wife Betty Ann of Woburn, MA; Peg Chamberland and her husband David of West Warwick, RI; and Art Bleau and his wife Margie of Plymouth, MA; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister: Irene Tardiff and her husband Paul of Vero Beach, FL; her loving and kind hearted niece Kathy McNally of Attleboro, MA; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings: Ed Bourgeois, Lorraine Sauve, Anita McCall, Fr. Frank Bourgeois, and Arthur Bourgeois.
A private burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will take place at a later date.
