NORTH ATTLEBORO – David “Davey Crockett” Hamilton, 87, of Kelley Boulevard passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the husband of Isabelle (Lockhart) Hamilton for the past 66 years.
Born October 25, 1930 in Ware, he was a son of the late Edward Hamilton.
Davey grew up in Attleboro and was a 1948 graduate of Attleboro High School. He was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Korean War and moved to North Attleboro after the war.
He worked for 29 years at Mason Box Company and also bartended and did maintenance at the Elks Lodge in North Attleboro for many years.
He was a longtime member of the Elks and loved walking the beaches of Cape Cod. He summered for many years in Chatham and loved spending time with his grandchildren and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Rick Hamilton and wife Debra of North Attleboro; two grandchildren: Erica Hagerty and Rick Hamilton, Jr. and three great-grandchildren: Mackenzie, Riley and Bailey.
He was father of the late James Hamilton.
Services are private with burial at North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro.
