PLAINVILLE – Donald F. Fellini, 82, a longtime resident of Plainville passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his devoted family after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Carol (Decarl) Fellini for 62 years.
Born June 28, 1935 in New York, he was a son of the late Louis and Celidia (Quinton) Fellini.
Don grew up in Rockland and was a 1954 graduate of Rockland High School. He lived in Walpole for a brief time and 17 years in Plainville.
Don worked as a barber at Hanson Barber Shop in Hanson and then worked at Great American Markets in New York as a buyer before retiring. In his retirement, he worked 17 more years as a barber at Peter’s Barber Shop in Walpole until he was 80 years old.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War Era
Don loved to travel, garden and spend time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses: Lynne Kudzy and husband Joseph Comerford of Stamford, CT, Leslie McMahon and husband Bill of Killingworth, CT, Brian Fellini and wife Kathy of Yorktown, VA and Donna Phelan and husband Mike of Foxboro;
9 grandchildren: Allison, Ian, Catie, Colette, Chris, Caleb, Drew, Lindsay and Michael, Jr.;
2 great-grandchildren: Thomas and Leslie;
And his brother Louis Fellini,Jr. and wife Joan of Medfield.
He was brother of the late Jackie Campen.
He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 14 Park Street, North Attleboro. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s immediately after visitation at 10 o’clock. Burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Attleboro Falls.
